Guest Blog: A Fashionista’s Must Have Travel Essentials
I love Amy so she’s back here for another amazing guest blog post on what a fashionista’s must have travel essentials are. I’m not planning my next trip anytime soon unless you count the hospital for my upcoming surgery, but I’m going to make note of these suggestions for my next one. So if you want to look fly even when you’re dressing out of a suitcase take a gander at her tips below!
When it comes to travelling, we are all super excited when the time comes to visit another country and just relax and indulge in all the things we had wanted for so long. However, before that time comes, we have to pack. Packing is the most difficult (and to some, the most painful) part of travelling, as you never know what to take with you, whether you’ll be taking too many things or not, or if you will need everything you take.
Sometimes it even happens that we forget to bring something essential. So before you check this list, make sure to have your wallet, passport, ticket and charger with you, as these are the things that you cannot go on a trip without. Everything else can be bought at your destination, but let’s not rely on this. Take a look at all the essentials that you have to take on any trip:
Starting off with something we’ll definitely need both on the airplane and There – earphones. Imagine you have to wait somewhere, or walk by yourself without any music in your ears? Definitely not. Make sure to have high-quality earphones with you, though, as you don’t want to have them die in the middle of your trip. Even though it may seem like you don’t really need them on vacation, having earphones with you at all times can help you make the most of your journey. You can either listen to music or find a podcast about the historic significance of the place you’re visiting. That way, you’ll have the complete experience without a travel guide.
No matter where you’re going, having a hat with you is a must. If it’s a sunny destination, take a fashionable one to keep you safe from the sun, and if your destination is a colder one, have a nice beanie to protect you from the cold. If you’re into caps, you can also opt for those, but make sure to take hats that will match your outfit perfectly and have a purpose. If you’re taking more hats with you, you can choose one to take with you on the plane, so that it doesn’t take any space in the luggage.
Jackets and cardigans
Having a trendy leather jacket with you is a great idea as you can wear it during chilly nights in warm destination, or, if for some reason it gets colder than you thought, you can have multiple layers of clothing underneath and still look awesome. Since jackets will probably be the bulkiest pieces of clothing you take with you, you should wear it on the airplane.
Moreover, always have at least two cardigans with you, because you never know. Don’t make the most common mistake and neglect to take these with you because you’re going to a warm destination – there is a possibility you’ll need them. In the same way, if you chose a colder destination to travel to, take a fashionable coat in order to look on point.
Regardless of the destination you’re headed to, taking a swimsuit is a must. If that place is a beach, then this is self-explanatory. However, if you’re headed somewhere without any plans to swim, take it just in case. Perhaps your hotel has a spa or a swimming pool that you will want to swim in, and it would be a great shame to skip that just because you forgot to take a swimsuit with you. Since you can order practically everything on the internet these days, ordering nice swimsuits online can save you time, and if you find a good deal, money as well. On the plus side, swimsuits don’t take a lot of space, so you can put them in your suitcase quite easily.
There are two types of shoes you’ll want to take with you. First, don’t forget comfortable shoes, at least three pairs – one for the flight, and two for walking and exploring the destination. Also, take one pair of killer heels if you happen to go out to a fancy dinner or a local pub. You don’t want the locals to think you can’t look glamorous, do you?
Even though, as mentioned, this is the most problematic part of travelling to some, packing is not a difficult chore. Make sure to make a list of things to take with you a couple of days before the trip, so that you could write down everything you remember. Good luck and bon voyage!
