Everyone has that picture in their mind of what the cutest, little picturesque town would look like and a couple weekends ago I actually got to see mine in real life! I don’t know how many people can say that! One of my besties recently moved to Milwaukee to take a teaching position (that she’s nailing by the way) and of course my other bestie and I had to go visit her immediately. I’ll have to go visit again so we can see more of Milwaukee since our Milwaukee day was raining pretty hardcore, but our second day was spent in the lovely Cedarburg, WI and I’m in love! I am super tempted to go out there for their christmas festivities because I just know it’ll be amazing! You could easily spend a whole day here checking out all the shops and grabbing a delicious bite to eat. Check out my faves below!

Our first stop was Ryloo Boutique where I immediately spent too much money! I got the softest grey shirt and the cutest skirt with lines of velvet. I’m sure I’ll make an insta post quite soon so you can see! They were fully ready for for fall with chunky knit sweaters and adorable booties. I’m lucky I didn’t come out of the store with a ton more bags, but we still had a lot of stores to go and one girl only has to much arm strength!
The Rivoli Theatre is an adorable theatre that shows only one movie at a time! That is super cute and would make a super cute date night. Plus, limited choices means no fighting over what movie to see! I just found out as I was doing some research that this movie theatre has been open since 1936! Can you imagine the history! They even have one of those ticket booths you can walk up to to get your tickets right in front. Talk about old school charm!

Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone I said this, but you can make your visit to this charming movie theatre even better by visiting Amy’s Candy Kitchen beforehand and sneaking in some of their delicious treats. Almost everything there is made by hand onsite and their candy apples were voted the “Best Overall” by Wall Street Journal. How could you not try them out? There delicious aroma wafted out into the street and just look at their window display during Christmas time!

They also try and make their products as healthy as deliciously amazing treats can be. They don’t use any hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, trans fats, artificial colors or shelf retaining stabilizers. Talk about a win! Now if they could just be gluten-free (and calorie free!). Want to order some delicious treats for the holidays? No need to trek out to Cedarburg! You can order their catalog right here!
I love just walking around towns and exploring. We came upon a ton of adorable things to sightsee like this super cute and encouraging bench!
I love my bestie. Isn’t her coat so cute and fashionable? She’s such a blast and kicking butt as a new Milwaukee transplant!
One of my other favorite places was Penzey’s. It’s a store that sells spices and seasonings and other items to make your food and drinks delish. I loved how they had their store organized by sections of what you were cooking and what spice type you were looking for! They had a hot chocolate mix without powdered milk in it or any dairy that I can just mix with my coconut milk so you know I had to nab that! They also had a powdered beef broth that I can’t wait to try out with one of my stews. They may just have a new stalker! Again, no need to travel to Cedarburg to enjoy these amazing seasonings and spices. You can get everything you want right here, but who wouldn’t want to go out to Cedarburg, WI? I highly suggest one of their cute little boxes shown below for the holidays. They even have Chicago seasoning for your steaks!
The shops there aren’t the only thing to see. Check out the pretty sites and gorgeous landscapes waiting to be seen!
Do you like that coat? Check out my most recent post about my favorite winter coats this year!
As you can see we had an absolute blast in Cedarburg, WI and if you have a chance to get out there definitely do it. I can’t recommend it enough. Check out their website for upcoming events!
