Guest Blog: Morocco – Your Next Valentine’s Destination

Be still my heart! Today we have a great guest post from travel writer Maria from the UK. If I wasn’t having surgery on the 12th this might have tempted me to make this my plan for V-day. For all you lucky people who are out there who won’t be stuck on a couch it’s not too late to plan a remarkable vacation to Morocco for you and your significant other.

Fly and discover the life with your significant other. Marrakech is listed in top magazines and ranked as the most Romantic city of Morocco. It can be an ideal place for couples to spend some time with each other. Look at your partner, wouldn’t she or he enjoy some relaxing time with the love of her life? You both need some quality time with one another, but it’s hard to do that with the pull of your to-do list looming. It feels like your routine is destroying the relationship you have admired most. Valentine’s is near though so don’t give up because you still got a chance to surprise her with the plan of cheap family holidays to marrakech.

Making a relationship is easy, but building it in a right direction requires heartfelt efforts from both sides. Make your valentine special, utilize the time and turn it into the most exceptional and loving days of your life. This city is going to offer a lot more than you expect, from dazzling views of mountains to the appealing resorts, indeed it allures couples to give their love story a refreshing start time out with each other. Catch a glimpse of a Red City and let the air of Marrakech feel your love.

To ensure having the best time in this city, you can include some of my tips below!

  1. Observe the sunrise and sunset in the desert

The desert is the heaven sight for the couples, spending a night in a camp and gazing at the stars together, lots of laughter and not only this, you can enjoy the music too. Inclusive of all the fun, you can be really close to the nature too.  A sunrise from the dunes of sand gives an immense feeling of the moment. It teaches you the lesson of hope in life, no matter how dark the night was, sun will shine with all its glory from next day.

  1. Wander in Medinas while holding each other’s hands

Medinas are really colourful and gives a quite amazing feel to the eyes of a wanderer. You will find amazingly designed handicrafts along with a lot of culture representation out there.  While holding each other’s hands, especially throughout roaming around the market will not only save your credit card bill but your wife will also feel the affection you hold for her in the corners of your heart. Just give it a try!

  1. Book a candlelight dinner on the rooftop

A candlelight dinner is the idea that never gets old enough to take off from the list of romantic ideas. Therefore, take your love to the candlelight dinner on the top of the roof, no not to touch the sky but with a hope that your love will grow more and more from this valentine and onward.

  1. Take a trek tour to Atlas Mountains

Are you feeling that these ideas are little outdated and want more adventure? Then choose a trekking adventure to the Atlas Mountains. Get on the ride of fun, fear and excitement. If anyone of you have a height phobia then this the best time to conquer your fears together, nothing is scary if you have a hand of your loved one. It holds you before you fall and take you to the heights you were afraid of.

  1. Enjoy the Jemma El Fna event

Now, it’s time to relax, enjoy the events in the market, taste the most aromatic food in the world. Jemma El Fna is the place where you will get to know more about the city of love and romance, dancers show off their traditional moves on the beat of Arabian music, storytellers will mesmerize you in the tales of Morocco. In short, every moment spent there will be memorable for the both of you.

Other than listed activities, you can enjoy the gardens, bike riding, camel trekking and Hot air balloon. Catch the bird eye view of the love city through the air balloon.  Enjoy a leisurely time with your partner in Morocco, live the life you desire, get the best out of your Marrakech Holidays and be in love for one more time with your partner along with the Red city. Additionally, let me tell you that many of your favourite movies like The Jewels of Nile, Mission Impossible, Prince of Persia and a lot of others were filmed in Morocco.

Hope these tips will help you. Wish you very best of luck for your love life, enjoy the quality time and party hard!!

Hi, you don’t sound selfish at all. Check out my article on self-care for some ideas on how to take care of yourself because if you aren’t you’re useless to your children or anyone else. I totally understand wanting some relationship time with your husband and that’s so important. I highly suggest trying to book something in once a week, even if it’s only for an hour. Maintaining a good marriage is so important for the happiness of you, your relationship and your children. I know it sounds like just another thing you have to add to the list, but I’m sure your priorities have your relationship pretty high up on the list so try and make some time for it 🙂

One of my goals is to travel alone at least once. I think it’s super important to do things to challenge yourself and take yourself out of your comfort zone. If you want to travel somewhere fun then go do it. Life is short and there’s so many places to see!

Morocco has been on my list of places to go for some time now. I’m in the process of planning a trip to South Africa, so, unfortunately, Morocco will have to wait a couple of years. BTW that sunrise photo is absolutely spectacular! Did you take that photo yourself?

South Africa sounds amazing! My facialist went on a safari adventure last summer with her day there and had a fantastic time. It was great hearing all her stories. I hope you have the best time!

This is actually a guest post from a travel blogger, but I agree that the sunset photo is just to die for. Thanks for reading!

I totally agree. You only get out of relationships what you put in and in order to keep a long-term relationship full of love you have to continually invest in it!
